Winning Jockeys Tend to be Consistent

By September 6, 2026Horse Racing

The Daily Racing Form usually lists a jockey’s recent results right under the horse’s name and owner information. That data shows how the jockey has performed at the current track and overall over the past three hundred sixty five days of racing, including the number of races run at the venue, the number run over the past year, and the number of wins, places, and shows. A winning percentage is calculated for the current track and for all other races run during the past year. The best jockeys post winning percentages above ten percent, with many of the top riders showing win rates of fifteen percent or higher. Jockeys who win at least ten percent of their races are generally good bets, and the best jockeys in the country typically win around twenty percent or more.
